Current website
The website you are currently visiting is built recently, around easter in 2025 while I was in the Netherlands visiting my family. I was fed up with my previous website, which was a Hugo based static website using the Academic theme. I particularly did not like the fact that while the Hugo system is supposed to be rather easy, the theme that I liked actually felt way too convoluted and lacking in documentation. Customisation seemed difficult, and eventually I grew tired of having to put in that effort, leading to me not really keeping my website up to date anymore. Don't get me wrong, I liked some parts of that framework, stuff that I did not ahve to modify worked fine, and I like the fact that I could export my emacs-org notes as posts into that website through ox-hugo.
Wanting to keep the emacs-org based posts, I decided to move to an entirely org-publish driven static website generation, in part motivated by the fact that my colleagues Amery Gration and [[https://www.as.arizona.edu/~mrenzo/][Mathieu Renzo] have also built their personal websites with this
